Permira Boost Project

Permira Boost Project

The Permira Boost Project was set-up to enable young children in areas of disadvantage, who may have been further disadvantaged by the COVID-19 lockdown and reduced access to education, to make progress with their early language skills.

The project will help early years providers to ensure that they have the skills and tools they need to support children’s speech, language and communication development. This initiative comes at a critical time where some children have been out of early education for several months and could be disproportionally falling behind with their communication and language development.

To do this, I CAN will deliver training on Talk Boost interventions for children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) in the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage One, to settings within the Local Authorities of Redcar-and-Cleveland, Sefton, Islington, and Barnet.
